“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” —Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
Hi, I’m Kimberla Lawson Roby, and as a New York Times bestselling author of 30 books, speaker, women’s mentor, and founder of Successful Women of Faith—The Sisterhood, I am excited to offer you the kind of private yet supportive community that I wish I had been able to find and join many years ago. Especially during those times in my life when I had no idea what my true calling was, and in all honesty, when I didn’t fully understand just how important discovering one’s true purpose actually is. I also had no clue about the importance of self-care or about the fact that, when we don’t take care of ourselves, we risk becoming ill—mentally, emotionally, and physically—and that sadly, this is what ultimately prevents us from using all the wonderful gifts, talents, and abilities that God has so graciously blessed us with. Worse, when we don’t take care of ourselves, we soon become tired, burned-out, and fed up with life as we know it. And this, my dear sister, is how we lose our ability to serve others in the awesome way God wants us to.
How do I know this?
Because for years, I did way too much…all the time…and it wasn’t long before I ended up in the emergency room with a full-blown panic attack—and soon, I no longer had the physical or emotional energy to work through my daily to-do list. I was barely able to complete the first couple of items, and of course, I would be totally remiss if I didn’t mention how afraid I was when it came to saying, “no,” to family, friends, and business colleagues, whenever they asked me to do certain things…even though I knew my plate was already much too full to begin with.
Worse, in January 2026, for the first time in my life, I found myself struggling with depression. In the past, I’d experienced anxiety and chronic insomnia, but when I began waking up feeling anxious and extremely sad, day after day, and ultimately week after week, I knew something was very wrong. Still, I did the one thing I encourage all women not to do—I suffered in silence. Meaning, instead of telling my husband, other family members, and closest friends how I was feeling, I hid my emotions and hoped and prayed God would heal me, and that I would soon be able to get on with my life. But in February, I felt worse than I had in January, and by March, I wasn’t sure how much worse things could get or how much longer I could keep lying around the house in my pajamas—steadily losing one pound after another. Thankfully, though, God kept me, and when I finally told my husband and best friend, Kelli, what was going on, they supported me every step of the way.
Telling the two of them that I felt deeply depressed became one of the best things I could do for myself, and then realizing that I needed medical help became a wonderful blessing as well. Yes, I prayed the entire time…in fact, on many days, I cried out to God in tears for help because I know for sure that He can heal any ailment, physically, mentally, or emotionally. But what I also know, too, is that He has gifted many men and women with knowledge and wisdom so they can help us when we need it.
Still, if I could do things over, I would begin focusing on self-care a lot sooner than I did several years ago, and I wouldn’t have tried to mask my recent bout with depression.
But as the saying goes, “when we know better, we can do better.” And now that I feel like “Kim” again and better than I have felt in a very long time—and I finally know what my purpose is, which is to help you and other like-minded women become all whom God has created you to be—I couldn’t be more happy, grateful, or excited about serving you in every way I can. I am thrilled to provide a safe, inspiring, welcoming, and Christ-centered community where, together as women, we can learn, grow, and enjoy the beauty of true sisterhood!
We are going to have an amazing time, chatting with each other and helping each other, and I look forward to seeing you on the inside!

Meet and chat with women who live near you, as well as with those who might live thousands of miles away. Offer advice or seek advice. Your monthly membership includes instant access to The Sisterhood, which is a safe and private community filled with like-minded women who you can share and communicate with as often as you like. And while the main gathering area will include all members, you’ll also be able to join specific groups that center on your particular needs or interests. These groups are called The SWOF Circles. Additionally, you’ll have access to live Q & A sessions with Kimberla, live guest interviews, weekly words of inspiration via written posts and audio recordings, live book club discussions, and a locked-in rate that will never increase, as long as you remain a member of the community.
Plus, you’ll also receive everything else we’ll be adding to the community in the future!
The community format is somewhat similar to Facebook, and the individual SWOF Circles are similar to private Facebook groups. So you will have the ability to respond to posts created by other members, create your own posts, upload photos and videos, and also send direct messages to individual members.
Successful Women of Faith – The Sisterhood is different because it is specifically designed to connect and serve Christian women who want to become the best women they can be in all areas of their lives—spiritually, personally, and professionally (in a private setting and with no outside distractions). It is also different in the respect that it is completely dedicated toward empowering and celebrating women, encouraging them to practice regular self-care and focus on their mental & emotional well-being, as well as helping them discover their true purpose and fully walk in it.
Yes, the rate you join the community with will be locked in for as long as you remain a member. However, should you decide to leave the community and would like to rejoin at a later date, you may do so at the rate being offered at that time.
Yes, members may cancel at any time. But please be sure to do so at least 7 business days prior to your scheduled billing date to ensure you are not charged for the next billing cycle. Additionally, we are not able to offer refunds for payments that have already processed.
